eKelas Portal is one of the Corporate Service Responsibility programme run by Maxis. eKelas is a programme for students in rural and urban poor areas of Malaysia under Pusat Internet 1Malaysia (PI1M) which managed by Maxis. eKelas is a technology-enabled and remote learning platform for students to connect with experienced teachers and education content without any distance barrier.
Maxis collaborated with MU DOT MY PLT to develop and host the Learning Management System (LMS) portal for Maxis eKelas programme since 2017. We are pleased to join the important milestone of eKelas journey, the launch of the eKelas portal. The event was launched on Sunday, 20 August 2017 at Perbadanan Putrajaya Kompleks Kejiranan Presint 11, Putrajaya.
The event was launched by YB Dato’ Muhammad Ali Hanafiah, Chairman, The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia and Raja Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arshad Bin Raja Tun Uda, Chairman & Independent Non-Executive Director of Maxis.
The event showcased the eKelas journey thus far and how the eKelas portal will enable self-paced learning for the students. It also have a lined up of tech education games and activities to be explored by all guests. It was a day of fun-filled carnival with the students and community leaders from the various Pusat Internet 1Malaysia (PI1Ms) in Klang Valley.
The carnival and the launch of eKelas Portal ended successfully with more than 500 guests and students.
