OWASP Malaysia was hosted OWASP Day KL 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Nov. 15 to Nov. 17, 2016 and collaborate with UniKL-MIIT. The events gather OWASP leaders, security experts, executives, technical thought leaders, developers, scientists and researchers from Malaysia and around the world for in-depth discussions of cutting-edge application security issues.
The summit will draw participation from major Malaysia and global organizations across various verticals including government, information technology, services and consulting, telecommunications, finance, e-commerce, Internet, universities and research institutes. About 200 people attended the event. Owasp Day KL 2016 theme is “Empowering Knowledge Towards Security Readiness”.
OWASP DAY KL 2016 has been sponsored by some organizations such as MU DOT MY PLT, University Kuala Lumpur, Rapid7, Infoblox, BitDefender, Abyres, and CyberSecurity Malaysia.
Iwan Sumatri is a vice chairman at R&D Id-SIRTII/CC (Indonesia Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure/Coordination Center). He’s also an experienced consultant at BUMN, Government Agency and private sector at Indonesia.
He will share about his experience handle incident and research to his keynote. 8 professional speakers presented the latest technology related to Cybersecurity. They are Mr Mohd Akmal Hj Ruslan (BitDefender), ASP Mohd Riduan Abd Majid (JSJK, PDRM), Mr Azril Rahim, Mr Walter Wong, Mr Melvim Lim, Mohammad Zahir Mat Salleh, Mr Sina Manavi, and Mr Mohd ZabriAdil Talib.
